What The Tests Say About Me

At one point or another, I’m sure you have taken a personality test of some sort. Whether it was goofy like, ‘what type of pizza are you’, or something more serious like a Myers-Briggs test. Both variants are plentiful online, and generally accurate as long as you answer honestly about yourself. I have taken a number of the more serious tests recently and have found them to be decently accurate. I wanted to share my results not to pigeon-hole myself, but to share more about my core personality.

I started with a free Myers-Briggs test to make more broad statements with less explanation of each trait. My result was an ENTJ-A; E: 88% extroverted N: 64% intuitive T: 63% thinking and A: 72% assertive. Most of the focus is usually on the first four letters, so assertiveness is a bit of an outlier.

I then moved to a more detailed test called Path Elements by Laurie Beth Jones. There are four words and you have to rate them all from which words you feel most strongly about in descending order. The results from this are given in elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. If you score evenly across all elements you’re the Avatar…not really, its just called fusion. I scored Highest on Fire at 73/80, and Wind at 63/80. Fire points to strengths of mine like boldness, visionary, and confronting. While Wind points to strengths of mine like passionate, amusing, and optimistic. There are long explanations about how this personality type handles pace, adventure, leadership etc. Which I may detail in a video later.

Finally, I took the Clifton Strengths-finder test which came inside of its own book that details all possible outcomes. This was by far the most elaborate test, having two different stances set out for each question that had few negative or positive connotations made it a very interesting choice each time. I felt like this test was extremely accurate with each outcome. See 5 of the best definitions of my personality here.
